[Yes.. this is what I really like about ITWO. At least from what I know of them. Not only has their recent acquisition crowned them as a gorilla (my opinion only mind you) but I believe they will (are) replacing more traditional ERP vendors. In my 'simplistic' way of thinking I see SEBL being the 'front end' to b2b e-commerce. ITWO being the 'back end' and ARBA and CMRC being the trading exchanges and specialized apps. Your thoughts?]

They were the SCM gorilla long before the purchased Aspect. However, the combination of inbound/outbound certainly left no question as to what sides they control. In terms of back end and front end, yes - you're thoughts on right on track. Moore feels that Siebel and i2 are ebusiness vendors.

What a monster if ITWO and SEBL ever 'formally' joined. That idea has been shot down by TD (trader Dave - one of the most knowledgeable SEBL folks on SI) as he believes Tom's ego would never allow a 'sharing of power'. Building a huge value chain and some very special and close relationships (e.g. IBM) - yes - merging. No. Not as long as Tom is at the helm. I would tend to agree... Unless Tom was the one buying out ITWO that is..

No need for that. Neither company could afford that kind of acquisition. It's a huge space with huge solutions that address various niche markets. Siebel and i2 have plenty to do on their own. It would toast Ellison though...<ggg>

and operate its initial metropolitan area networks (MANs) along its fully redundant backbone
connecting New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington, D.C. By building and operating

providing dynamic, high-bandwidth solutions to meet the critical wholesale communications

Building with Light

Cambrian will use Cisco's IP+Optical solution throughout its metro and long-haul network.
When fully implemented, Cambrian's optical network will include Cisco ONS 15200 Metropolitan
Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (mDWDM) Systems, ONS 15454 Optical Transport
Platforms, ONS 15800 (long-haul) DWDM Systems and the ONS 15900 Series Wavelength
Routers(TM). The 12000 Series Internet Routers and Catalyst 6500 Series (Ethernet) Switches
will support a scalable and feature rich IP network. Combined, these open standards-based
products and IP technologies deliver a complete IP+Optical solution for building Internet-scale,
carrier-class optical networks that maximize the granular capabilities of packet-based networks.

Enabling differentiated service delivery, Cambrian's Operations Support System (OSS) features
Cisco Internet OSS network management components including: Cisco Transport Manager
