It wasn't his voting age children he didn't want to tell. It was the American public he wanted to keep in the blank, like the questions on the for governor and for jury duty forms he filled out in Texas.

Why didn't he want the American public to know he had a 24-year old DUI? I mean: Who cares?

I think it's because something else heavy has gotta be lurking around in his background, waiting for exposure which could result from further scrutiny over the DUI flap, had he earlier let it become public. We all know how things roll down the hill once given the energy to do so.

Isn't it both curious and interesting that Bush won't grant The Boston Globe an interview regarding his service in the Texas Air National Guard? Why won't he? I mean he's running for president, ain't he?

Perhaps he's been led to believe the presidency will just be handed to him. All he's gotta do is go through the motions. Pretty much that's what his candidacy has been all about. Just watch C-Span and see how he communicates, what happens.

Bush gives out a bunch of short, sometimes one-liner, issues which'd rival Letterman's Top Ten, except he's speaking about serious issues. And into this he sprinkles a bevy of Gore criticisms. When done with that, he smiles, shakes, pats, kisses and winks, finally waving goodbye onto the next event. Of course, the media gets skipped inbetween.

Press conferences? I've not heard of a Bush conference for at least two and a half months, except the one he got forced into on the DUI cover-up.

What else do the people get? Oh, yeah. His commercials on television and radio. Every now and then a rare interview where advance folk have already set up the guidelines of the interview.

Meanwhile there are Bush analysts and Gore analysts and these folk sorta cancel each other out. Then there's all the posters, bumper sticks, pins, masks and whatnot.

That's what we're going on folks. That's all Bush has given us. Nice campaign, huh?

Meet the press head-on, Bush! Over and over and over again. I dare ya!!!
