When you say 'doughboys', who do you mean?
The individual franchisees and/or management?

If they can open more stores (like MCD does), don't you think the primary force will be up because of increased earnings?

Their model is very close to MCD. Agree?

Tnx,
Joe

Re KREM- Best doughnut in the World. Most outragious price since I've been in the markets. Would probably go with Anthony's guess. Just the price!!!!

I'm not defending KREM's share price, but their visibility is astounding, at least here in Southern California. This is a North Carolina-based company, and somehow has taken hold, even here in health-conscious California. The stores have drive through windows, and the line of cars stretch around the block, even at night! (big lines inside the store too) They sell as fast as they make them, and I would LOVE to own a franchise. It really is a gold mine. Will it be a passing fad? Maybe. But right now those donuts are HOT HOT HOT.

For those of you who have not had one, the big seller is the hot glazed donut. The stores are totally automated, you see the donuts on a conveyor in big display windows going from the rising area, to the fryer, and then coated with sugar glaze. The line to get donuts is strategically placed alongside these windows. At the end of the conveyor they are boxing them as fast as they can sell them, and you get a hot, melt-in-your-mouth donut that is unlike any of the competition. I'm glad they don't have any near my house, because I can eat 6 of them before I get to the freeway to go back home. (my waistline is happy that it's too far away) I've only been twice in a 2 years, but the last time was at 8:00 on a Sunday night, and I waited 45 minutes!!!!!

So the visibility is what is selling the stock, not the valuation. Good luck shorting it. I have no position.
