On choosing a president...advise from a wise old man....

Shortly before my father in law died, we were discussing the
presidential elections...He said..."Son, I've lived through 13 different presidents,
some of them twice, and one thing I can tell you, once they get into office, they're all the same...

The only lasting effect that any of them has had was in choosing justices
of the supreme court, and even that had to be approved by congress...other than that...
I don't think things would have been much different no matter who was president..."

He said..." the best way to decide who to vote for is to look at their wives...
You're going to have to look at these people for the next four years,
so pick the one with the best looking wife..."

Based on that sage advise....I have to go with Tipper! :>)

But if you wouldn't vote for them, how could you vote for Bush? Or are you saying that as long as Ted Kennedy is in congress, it doesn't matter who we elect? One wrong does not justify another one.
