I did not quote Paul Erdmann (who is he anyhow?), nor am I a "gloom and doom" guy talking like Pretcher about markets losing 90% of their peak value. My scenario has been (since I joined SI few years back) a protracted period of seven to 10 years (shorter than the last 16 years stagnating period that lasted from 1966 to 1982) where the markets are bound between about 6000 to 13,000 on the Dow (I think that four years ago, my initial forecast, that has proven wrong so far was 5000 to 11,000).
