JM-scientifically the embryo is definitely alive with dividing cells beginning to form the ectoderm,mesoderm,and endoderm,i.e.,differentiating---it is the liberal legislature that has imposed politically correct but morally bankrupt "personal values" into this equation;furthermore,most abortions are done way after any two weeks--most would have no indication og pregnancy at that early a date
