Fine. Let anybody do it. White box, you name it. It just turns out that the big OEMs are gaining market share in servers. ISPs, ASPs, etc. want the reliability and availability features that only they have the technology and money to design into servers. Raid on chip, integrated smart array controllers, embedded NICs, hot plug hard drives and PCI cards, redundant power supplies, fans, etc. These features are demanded now for the high volume Internet related server applications, and the white boxes can't afford to do them.
