I wonder how eager Intel is to dedicate capacity to CF or MMC or SD cards. They are having a tough time with their P3 which is at the end of its life and are trying to allocate capacity to P4. But P4's large die size is going to make it difficult for Intel to match quantities of P3's they can currently produce (and that has been supply constrained).

I also saw a post from DJBeino on the Micron thread about memory makers being unlikely to introduce 300mm wafers as soon as they had hoped. This will further increase the cost of INTC's switch to making the P4 at 13 microns with 300mm wafers. It may also stabilise the falling prices of memory and reverse the trend of DRAM makers switching to more profitable flash.
