Re: "Why do you want the U.S. to become a socialist society so badly?" There is no excuse for a country this rich not to extend a helping hand to more of its own people. In fact, Sarge, both candidates in Tuesday's election want to move the country toward MORE socialized medicine. I'm not sure you quite understand that. So if you don't like the fact that both the Repubs and Dems are embracing more socialized medicine, then you need to find a candidate other than Bush to vote for on Tuesday. It's about time we started thinking more of our elderly, our Korean War veterans, poor children, at-risk schools ... and start thinking less about tax breaks for the wealthiest of the wealthy and pumping $400 billion into some science fiction ABM system that won't work.
