Steve,

Sony's profits continue to slide, dragged down by the titanic forces of the PlayStation 2 development and marketing budget.

i.e. Sony is selling PS2 at a huge loss because of expensive silicon (including RDRAM.) Do you understand now? Do you think Sony is going to come out and say that RDRAM was a mistake?
