"I think I was just remembering the "good old days" of pre-crash screen appearance as being better than it actually was"

but andy, how long ago could this have been? a few days?

there's a saying i like that goes,

when something's not right, it's wrong.

maybe you really are having probs with fonts and we (you) just haven't hit on the solution yet. i recommend that you be certain that you have given consideration to or tried all of the suggestions various threadmates have made to you. if after having tried these things, you still believe that you have a problem, we should check it out some more.

:)

Andy, my setting is 800x600 and it looks fine on a 17" monitor. It would really help if you could make a screen shot and post it on the web or e-mail it so we could see what your screen looks like.

Here's how you do that: when the screen you want to capture is displayed, hit the ALT-PRINT SCREEN keys together. Open your word processor to a blank page and PASTE. Then you could e-mail the document to mr mark or to anyone else here.
If you e-mail to me, I can put it on my web site and link to it here. Then we all can see what you are talking about.
