Rudy, OT -- "I am confident that the whole history of the human race contains no such horrible episode as this. The great massacres and persecutions of the past seem almost insignificant when compared to the sufferings of the Armenian race in 1915."

--Henry Morgenthau, Sr. US Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire

Morganthau would seem to be an unbiased observer, don't you think?

Whatever happened in WWII doesn't make what happened in 1915 right. As educated people, I believe, we have a moral obligation not to resort to such childish logic as "2 wrongs make a right".

I guess history depends on who writes the history. Armenians and Ottomans lived together in peace as written by the Ottomans? Sounds like the story I heard about Jews and Moslims living in peace for hundreds of years in the middle east.
