Well then, perhaps no one should get a tax break. I do not think that it was ever proven that trickle-down economics did not work. Many economists agree that it was the Reagan tax policy and the end of the Cold War that made possible the recent bull market, contrary to Clinton's attempt to take credit for the economic boom.

Actually the western roads were build by corporations who bribed congressmen for land grants and floated bonds which quickly became bankrupt. Have you never read of the Credit Mobilier scandal (the American one, not the French)?
