Those people weren't going to vote for him anyway. They're religion is convenience at best. Perhaps religion does fulfill a good purpose in society that the left would prefer to replace with government programs.

Lizie...WHAT Bush " Creationism " in schools?

All Bush wants ( and I agree ) is for

" The History of Religious thought
and
Philosophy
"

to be taught in the Public Schools.

So kids can understand that

there are other possibilities for Creation

than what I call

The Mud-Hole Theory of Creation :

As I tell my kids:

" Go in the back yard and look at the mud hole and
tell me if you truly believe that you came out of there

spontaneously,

and out of random movement,

I am surprised you have a math degree....lizzie,

but then we all know how college standards have been
lowered so just about anybody can get degrees these days...

eeh eeh ,

Motivated Republicans vs. their generally apathetic (see lazy) counterparts will carry the day.

Republicans aren't the only people motivated this year. Bush's support of creationism in schools and other religious based backward thinking
has people scared on the west coast.

There is talk right now that shallow and deep offshore California oil rights will be up for grabs within six weeks of Bush in office. This will help pull the price of oil down further than opening up the strategic reserves ever would have.

It will be quite exciting to see this kind of development after so many years of tree huggers ringing the bell. The only environmental legacy Clinton & Gore left the nation was the wildfires in Montana and the western states. Up in smoke is how his foreign policy will be remembered.
