...Please look beyond candidates' tax promises...

I did, and I no like (at least domestically). Fortunately, the way I see it, the larger (and evenly spread in percentage terms; on an unfair tax code to begin with) the tax cut, the better off we all are on the 'other stuff'. Better off based on reduction of both the size and scope of the Federal Government. Once it's in their hands, it's like pulling teeth to get it back, and they cry in like fashion. Once this tax leaves home, they'd rather discover new ways in which we 'need' them in times of _tax_surplus_, than to refund the balance. I think that I'm preaching to the choir here though, so I'll stop there.

Although I'd rather see Bush win, I doubt a Gore win will spell the end of the nation: Perhaps the end of the nation's prosperity, but not the nation itself.

Perhaps THE end, is not what concerns me most, but rather the direction thereof, is of great concern. If we do not continue towards growing prosperity, how long can we remain strong as a Nation, or, how limited will the strength be in the future with stagnant to declining prosperity? TIA

Respectfully,
Thunder
