There are plenty of examples of government abuse of health (Gulf War Syndrome, Agent Orange, etc.), the environment and safety (nuclear and toxic waste mismanagement at federal plants and military sites), and misappropriation of insurance funds (SS). Perhaps, dependent class is not descriptive since I'm referring to the use of the tax code to reward constituents with shelters, deductions, and credits. It pretty much covers everyone and rewards consumption over savings.

>>the self righteous moralizers who just can't help telling us how to live.<<

Hillary wants to tell you how to raise your kids -- I guess that's ok ... truth be known, she doesn't just want to tell you how to raise your kids -- she has a better idea: Her federal government will do it and ensure that they all think politically correct.

Just because somebody takes a moral stand and says some activity is wrong, does that mean they are "self" righteous?
Or are some actions absolutley good and some absolutely evil? You should think about who Al Gore will choose as judges -- would you rather judges interpret the law or legislate.

Both men are ignorant in many respects, but who is the most zealous for his ideals and thinks he knows better than anyone else what is best for everyone -- you should vote against him.

Clinton is an immoral man who hungered after the presidency mostly for his own motives -- though he supported some things that are counter society -- he did little harm overall. Gore is a much different man than Clinton -- he actually believes a lot of evil and foolish things ...

>>>Anyway, I'm hoping for a Democratic president, a slightly Republican majority in the house, and a Senate that can override scurrilous filibusters.<<<

Yep. I agree. That's the recipe. Both parties get wacked upside the head when they go too far.
