I'd rank ODSI among distributed network operating systems, and not necessarily among the OSS types of management systems that would manage an ODSI. Although, ODSI does possess self management, too, but only within its own fabric. The type of management being discussed in the press item is the type that operators need in order to orchestrate many different platforms, such as ODSI and Cisco's IOS, and Optera's xyz, and LU's 5ESS software. Does this make sense?
