Election signal on Microsoft, and premarket rise of RMBS (71+):

Peter Cardello on CNNfn surmises that MSFT stock might serve as an interesting proxy on Wall Street today and tomorrow for gauging the Presidential Election
I find CNNfn far more competent and professional than CNBC

friday close MSFT = 68.25
if it rises, then regard Bush as the market likely winner
if it drops, then regard Gore as likely winner
if it drifts, then too close to call

the reasoning is that a President Bush would pull the Antitrust & FTC Dogs off the Microsoft Breakup trail

one cannot ignore the rise of MSFT from 50 toward 70 in recent weeks
that alone indicates that nearterm trading indicates Bush as a favorite
(their earnings were rather strong, notwithstanding)

-------
I have seen no news on Rambus
RMBS has risen steadily in premarket to 72, now in 71's
September chart resistance at 75, from former floor
75 provided a bounce several times
