N'western 54-Maize and glue 51...

Oh, I get it. I don't follow college football much anymore. But, Northwestern did get respectable in recent years, couple of Rose Bowls in the last 10 years?

Jim, OTOT
I've been a UofM football fan for over twenty five years. Not only did I get my MBA there, but both parents were products of the undergraduate program.

Don't worry about twisting the knife. Michigan has lost enough close/important games while I was watching to guarantee that the knife wound is well calloused over and big enough to drive a train through.

I think they are still the most winningest college team in the country (as measured by absolute number of wins) with ND a close second. Now as for winning percentage, I'm suppose there are some Florida teams who hold that crown.

Anyway, my guess is that Purdue probably goes to the rose bowl this year and any year in which Michigan beats Ohio State is still a good year, so we still have that contest to look forward to.

OTOT, FL generally and TB specifically and the election

I thought of your exchange earlier as I read Peter Orvetti's afternoon election email today.

Florida could come down to Broward County, where a Gore plurality of less than 200,000 votes may cost Gore the state's 25 electoral votes

BTW, if any of you is a political junkie, Orvetti's website is a great place to be. (orvetti.com)
