A real fix of social security would do wonders for the economy. It's about time, before it's too late.

My prediction is it bodes well for the market long term. However, we may see a short term correction due to the uncertain nature of the economy currently.

If Bush can convince the congress to change social security and allow a portion to be invested in the market, along with giving us much needed tax relief. The markets should do very well.

The world economy concerns me though. Europe is having a difficult time adjusting to the Euro, and many of the political systems there are stuck in socialistic ways of thinking.

On the other side of the world, large scale entrepreneurship (of the American variety) appears to be difficult to duplicate. And it doesn't seem sustainable for us to grow larger and larger relative to other economies around the world.
