It's in a market segment which either is, or is rapidly becoming a commodity. Excess profits are increasingly difficult to come by.

That doesn't make it worthless; just less attractive from a stock valuation perspective than a much more rapidly growing sector with rapid innovation and at least the potential for rapid growth in profitability.
