GOP vigilance ended the USSR. Carter would've blown that if he had the chance, and Clinton would've been like Chamberlain with Hitler- "Here, have this, have that, now do what I tell you, please! I need my legacy and Nobel Prize."

Look the Soviets themselves have stated that they were indeed an Evil Empire. Do you understand just how many people Stalin killed ? These were his own brothers. Not a perceived outer enemy. Not someone with different skin color. Not someone with a different accent. He killed hundreds of millions of his own people for the SOCIALIST ideology. And you worry about the religious right.
