Tenchu. Markets are not smart and while the markets sleep things are changing. Bit by bit AMD is gaining on Intel. Intel has shot itself in the foot so often it has rubber feet and it no longer bleeds.
The faster Intel rushes new products the more errors it makes. the time when it could leisurely develop and debug a product until it was perfect are gone. It now has to trim it's dev cycle and we see what that does.
No-one is immune to this, though, and the latest problem with the AMD chipset....are they real or is the mobo maker in error?

Tenchsatsu:

That AMD's market cap ws reduced by over 50% in the face of record revenues and earnings is strong testimony to the fact that the market marches to the beat of its own drum...There is "zilch" evidence of a fundamental nature to support the market's punishment on AMD...Just as the market has negatively over reacted to the INTC warning, it will in time (a very short time, I suspect)positively overreact to AMD's outstanding fundamentals...Look for a huge price swing in AMD...It may be in the initial stages of such right now!!!
