Yeah, chic. We wouldn't possibly want to give this welfare to work thing a real shot at succeeding now would we?

And when illnesses are complicated by poor nutrition ol' Tommy will be paying for his Food Stamp folly on the other end of the equation by increased medical care costs...Or a decline in those state education test scores he's so proud of. Hungry kids don't perform that well in school. Doh!

Wisconsin has been one of the most progressive AND pragmatic states in the union on welfare IMO. To ignore the states political leanings set next to what they are doing is to just plain bury your head in the sand IMO.
