Ok now you are trying to make a statement that right wing stands for people who try to impose their views on others. Forcing your views on people is not a view that is inherently left or right. If you believe that left stands for freedom and right, ie religion, stands for oppression then you are the fool.
The fact is that both sides are guilty of the same control freak mentality.
Ayn Rand made a very brilliant observation. She described that both religion and the social government vie for power and that they both have the same philosophy
1) they both preach altruism in that we should live for the benefit of others
2) both have shown a willingness to use violence to compel people to follow their views
3) their greatest enemy is the mind of an individual man

If you actually think that the extremes are only on one side and that being left is somehow a sanctified and holy place then you are weird.

Sadly leftists today do not believe in letting all things be. It is true on sexual issues but nowhere else. Why the imposition of will against vouchers. Why the attack on the Boy Scouts ? Why the belief that they should decide who gets to keep what money ?
Again I actually am consistent in being a classical liberal which truly means liberty. I am pro choice but believe that religious people work and pay their taxes and thus deserve the right to the school of their choice. It is not your money. They earned it. In fact I would venture to say in the spirit of hockey that they have a very good plus category in their contribution to society.

Oh, yes, Stalin was very well known for "letting all things be," never imposing his will on anyone, wasn't he?
