JDN, yes, vouchers are much misunderstood. Many many times in the past few weeks I've told people that the primary purpose of vouchers is to improve the quality of public schools by letting parents choose between them, thus providing incentive and reward for excellence. But Gore prefers to imply that vouchers are a plan to take money away from public schools and give it to private schools -- that vouchers are an anti-public-school measure. That simply is not the case.
