Hi SbH - there is no doubt Canadian tax is worse than that of the US. That said, if memory serves, it appears that the people from Canada do have the good sense to prefer a Universal Health Care system to a lower tax. There is always a trade off. The question is: is it a reasonable one. I wouldn't blame everything on the extreme left though. If you look at the immigration policy in the BC area in the early 90s. It is the extreme right wing who has caused investment to lag behind Ontario by way of its immigration policy. Or so I was told.
