You've never bothered to look at the income levels and family sizes that make children eligible have you? Or the sheer number of children served? Or those numbers over time?

Not practically EVERYONE gets school lunch assistance.

As I indicated in a prior post the origins of this program are rooted in WWII when large numbers of inductees failed Army physicals do to poor health brought on by bad nutrition. This was back in the "mythical good ol' days" when families and churches pulled together and took care of their own, remember?
