Re Josef: do I want to give you a prediction.. absolutely;)

Al Gore - 45% POP Vote, 274 electoral seats
George W. Bush - 48% POP Vote, 264 electoral seats

--Gore wins by razor-thin margins in MI, PA and Florida and in the Pacific Northwest. (less then 10000 votes, maybe less then 5000 votes), thus carrying the electoral college, but gets embarrassed by losing his own state of TN.
--Bush wins by large margins in his core support base, thus explaining the fairly large POP vote percentage win for him.

-- Republicans, a tad sore about losing this way, demand that the electors at the electoral college change their vote, and vote for the legitimate popularly elected leader.. threatening to take the result to the Supreme Court, the people, the Congress etc etc etc... leading for one bitter session of government coming up.

I know you said to send it as PM, but I thought I'd post it in public so it was on the record -- right, wrong or in between.
