Stuck SUV Window Leads to Drug Find

CHICAGO (Reuters) - A couple who bought a sport utility
vehicle got extras they didn't need -- nearly 50 pounds of
marijuana stashed in the seats and side panels of their Ford
Expedition, police and media reports said on Saturday.

The marijuana was discovered when the couple, whose names
were not released, took the vehicle they bought from a rental
company to a dealership in a western Chicago suburb for repairs
because the windows were stuck.

Mechanics who began working on the passenger side door
found 2 pounds of marijuana, and within hours had uncovered
49.3 pounds of the drug, the Chicago Tribune reported.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the incident.

The Tribune reported that drug traffickers could have
abandoned the marijuana before delivery could be made.

As for the couple, they will be receiving a new Ford
Expedition as replacement.
