Eric,

every four months and I sit back in my chair and hear John Chambers give glowing reports on what
the company is doing and trying to accomplish.

While this is true it does get to the heart of an earlier question posted by Michael... Does CSCO performance necessarily translate into stock price. It was two quarters ago when the first Barons' piece ran.. taking CSCO down pretty hard in the midst of a sector wide sell-off. CSCO proved the article wrong with a stellar report but the stock hardly budged... was is sentiment? a feeling that it couldnt keep going? what? Then the next quarter came.. and again the analysts were saying "there's no way CSCO can grow like they did last quarter". The stock will still trading well off the highs at the time. And once again CSCO came in with numbers that even the bullish analysts didn't predict and yet the stock still didn't rally. Now here we are again, the stock is trading closer to the 52 week low than the high - after a number of rock solid quarters showing accelerating revenue growth - and the analysts are suggesting that the there is a slowdown and CSCO will likely guide lower at a minimum. So, let's say CSCO beats by the penny and shows continued revenue acceleration.. and doesn't suggest there is a slowdown??? Does the stock rally? I'm not sure the stock at this point is connected to what Cisco is doing within the business... but I will say this.. at some point... something has to give.

OG

>> It's funny how this comes every four months

<<<ROFLMAO!!!>>>

No wonder bambi doesn't have any respect for us old guys <lol>.

Senior moments like that tend to make the kids skeptical of our eroding analytical abilities.
