Yeah, I agree. And that level of voter education would/could never happen.

Historically these tests were design to exclude people. Creating a more knowledgable voter base was not the point.

I particularly evil history professor of mine dug up one of these tests from the early 1900s and administered it to one of his graduate American History seminars as an April Fools' joke. The scores were not good. The seminar got the larger point. He laughed for days. Posted the results in the department front office. The seminar never lived it down.

He does it now every year so I'm told. Good lesson.
