<The bailout of the S&L's (which has yet to be completed) was done through Congress, not with the sole heavy hand of the President & the Treasury.> My point is that the allegiance of Bush and the conservatives in this country are primarily to the financial institutions. In that respect they are no different than the liberals. Need I tell you, Richard, that I am not a flag waving Super Nationalistic American. Although I was born here and presently live here, I'm very cognizant that this is a global economy and I think it is quite important that our trading partners possess sound vibrant economies. I do not look at life solely through the ALL American Nationalistic Lens.
