HUH? Where did you get this argument from? GV, you're typically far more analytical so pardon my surprise. First analysts were aware of the CSCO backlog and have been for years - this has been sighted as one of the reasons CSCO can deliver such predictable earnings. Backlog however is not necessarily a good thing I would guess... Seems to me that the larger the backlog the longer it takes customers to get product so too large a backlog would cause a loss of business.

Using the size of the backlog as a baramoter for sector health seems like a reach to me. I wouldn't over read this.

they just reported a two or three weeks ago that the backlog had quadrupled. You should have known that.knc
