Good point. Bush carried 27% of the black vote in Texas.

It is about being free and keeping the government as small as possible

This should read:
It is about being free and keeping the government as small as possible AND it is also about white and Christian. If everything after AND clause were false, atleast 70% of the votes from my race/ethnic group would be a solid voting bloc for Republicans.

Someone posted GWB History on CNN message board.
Born: July 6,1946

Age: 54

Stopped Drinking: At 40

Governor of Texas: Since 1995 "

Gosh a whole five years experience... and such a lousey record. I had to laugh at the comment too that he went home after his DUI and looked in the mirror and quit drinking....ya TEN years later. SLOWwwwwwwww learner. He then said he had "found a higher calling" to quit drinking..implying GOD had blessed him.. While I do believe in spirituality in the treatment of addiction I don't believe in using it in a holier than thou reference to gain votes. This guy is like styrofoam. He says anything and is embarassingly inaccurate in most of what he does say.

How do you think the GOP was able to quiet the Religious Right for this election? Could it be that some deals were struck on abortion, the supreme court or China? Do any of these issues have anything to do with smaller government and freedom? Who do you think the GOP is going to need to cater to a bit if they win the Presidency? Your head is deep in the sand if you believe that today's GOP is only about smaller government. Also watch for the GOP to create an enemy. This is always an essential element of the GOP. Who's it gonna be? Cuba? China? North Korea? Stay tuned and watch the "small government freedom fighters" in action.

And why do you think the GOP scores big with white males and Christians?
