OT
and the Ignore button ....

the thing works very well as far as I'm concerned ....

I just checked and I have over 20 folks on "ignore" and haven't missed ANY of them or their comments ....

ICE ....
YOU aren't on there BEFORE you ask/comment/reply

I just HAD to copy this post and send it over here to the Zthread cause there are SO SO many messages .......

OFF TOPIC and LONG .... so be warned ...

this is one I just sent out over on the PnF thread .....
concerning the Breeder's Cup, betting the post positions 2/3/4 and some of my handicapping picks
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////
here is what I suggested for Pat to do waaaaaaaay back at 5:00am EDT on Wed, Nov 1 with message 1264 on the PnF Gathering thread
and
what I did simulcasting

I figured you'd enjoy the 234 method ......most races will have 14 entries and there will be great disadvantange to the outer post positions ..... the 1 position can get trapped too easily .... the 234 provides a slight bettors edge based on statistics from past races ....

JUVENILE ==== A P Valentine and Flame Thrower
JUVENILE FILLIES ==== Notable Career, Freefourracing and Cindy's Hero
SPRINT ==== Kona Gold at 9/5 and More Than Ready with Pat Day at 6/1 will be running late down the lane
MILE ==== War Chant at 3/1 and North East Bound at 40/1
FILLIES and MARE TURF ---- Perfect Sting and Spanish Fern but the Fern horse has Bobby Frankel,the trainer, who has a 0-34 record
TURF ---- John's Call is NINE years old but it is his race to lose
DISTAFF ==== Riboletta and Beautiful Pleasure are the two favs at 4/5 and 7/2
CLASSIC ---- Albert the Great at 5/1 and Fusaichi Pegasus the fav at 9/5 and Cat Thief at 20/1

I bet $8 JUVENILE ====
$2Win A P Valentine @ 2.40/1 (came in dead last)
$2 Win Flame Thrower @5.40/1 (came in eighth)
$2 Exacta box on them
lost 8 bucks

I bet $8 JUVENILE FILLIES ====
$2Win Notable Career @4.80/1 (came in fifth)
$2Win Cindy's Hero @ 3.50/1 (came in fourth)
$2 Exacta box on them
Freeforracing was scratched
lost 8 bucks

I bet $8 SPRINT ====
$2Win Kona Gold @1.70/1 (came in first)
$2Win More Than Ready (came in fifth)
$2 Exacta box on them
cashed win ticket for $5.40 for net loss of $2.60

I bet $8 MILE ====
$2Win War Chant @3.50/1 (came in first)
$2Win North East Bound @42.30/1 (came in second)
$2 Exacta box on them
cashed win ticket for $9.00 and exacta ticket for $486.20 for net profit of $487.20

I bet $8 FILLIES and MARE TURF ----
$2Win Perfect Sting @5.00/1 (came in first)
$2Win Spanish Fern @28.80/1 (dnf)
$2 Exacta box on them

$2Win Beautiful Pleasure @5.10/1 (came in sixth)
$2 Exacta box on them

I bet $18 CLASSIC ----
$2Win Albert the Great @9.00/1 (came in fourth)
$2Win Fusaichi Pegasus @1.20/1 (cmae in sixth)
$2Win Cat Thief @11.50/1 (came in seventh)
$2 Exacta box on them
lost 18 bucks

for a net total of /////

$68 bet
$512.60 collected
$net profit of $444.60

the 2-3-4 recco
which I did NOT bet ....

bet 16 horses (2 in six races, 1 in one race, and 3 in one race) for $32
would've cashed 2 tickets ======
one ticket in the Juvenile on Macho Uno for $14.60
one ticket in the Distaff on Spain for $113.80

for a net profit of $96.40

which, it itself isn't TOO shabby ..... eh Paddy?

on a verrrrrry sad note ...
Spanish Fern , one of my picks in the F&M Turf, who did not finish the race was put down later the next day because of injury received to her pelvic bone ....
she was pulled up in the race and taken away to the vet hospital where the first diagnosis was for not TOO serious an injury ...
however, early Sunday morning she was in grave distress and evidently fading and was destroyed .....

sad, but that is the way racing is .... and I'm thankful she wasn't in the lead, for she could have caused a terrible calamity ....
I still have Ruffian in my mind from that horrible incident waaaaay back

on a more happy note =====
now lessee ......
wonder how that compares to the LasVegasPifferss ????

but to be truthful, that is a tad bit better than I usually do ....... gggggg
