This is the party that freed the slaves, presided over the Supreme Court when Brown v. Board of Education was decided, Integrated southern schools using troops because Democrat Governors stood in the school house doors baring entry to blacks, passed the voting rights act, ad infinitum.

I am talking about present day republican party. The former southern democrats are present day republicans who switched their loyalty when their party started championing the cause for blacks and civil rights.

To hear the charge that Republicans only care for whites

They do leave crumbs and morsels for others.....

Thank you for posting those comments. You saved me considerable typing. It's proof how otherwise enlightened people are so easily brainwashed by sufficient rhetoric. The art of sustaining a lie through deceit. In truth I doubt the conscious sincerity of the Democratic Party to erase the problems. One has to question why after 40 years and 4 trillion dollars they are no closer to a solution than when they started. Instead they have managed to perpetuate a needy under class that will continue to require aid from a party only to willing to provide just enough to guarantee their return. Were they to solve the needs, they would negate their platform and subsequently lose their constituency. The loss of the Ace in the whole scare card would demand new ideas to replace the tired old ones if they were to remain viable.
