If a good case could have been made out against him, he would not have retained such a high level of support. There was either nothing on him, or his opponents were incompetent.......

Dear bigsablepoint: No, but when you serve a term, then get reelected another term by a 68% margin in a state where the Dems outnumber the Reps. he must have done something right. I can tell you I was in a sports bar several years ago in San Antonio watching a football game (UofF vs Tenn) and I didnt see any obvious Spanish background people there but when I started asking about Bush EVERYONE was very proud of him and seemed to like him a lot. How is it misleading? Because it doesn't fit in with your opinion of Gov. Bush? 68% of the voters in the last elction in Texas disagreed with you. They voted to re-elect Bush. They live in texas and are subject to the Bush policies. Therefore an overwhelming vote in his favor is about indicative as it gets on his ability as Governor. JLA
