As the Indian economy has become freer it is making great strides in creating wealth and elevating its' people.

Thanks. Since the discussion was about people of Indian descent in America, I thought you were talking about an American party.

But growing up with socialism doesn't mean one grows to like it, or becomes irresponsible.

I know more about India's history than her current conditions. I wouldn't think that the Ghandi's made things worse, but I would be more interested in the perspective of someone who has lived through it than that of someone who thinks Indians are irresponsible.
