Clinton had a 8 or 12 years with a podunk state but that didn't help him much. He had to bring in several outsiders to come in and help him run the White House. Rubin, Bentsen, Gergen, Panetta, Morris. Any more. If we had recall elections available in the U.S., he would've been thrown out in 1995. He only "turned things around" when he engineered that government shut-down in the fall of 95. What a sum total of accomplishment for the first four years in office.
