If they still, as a group, spend more time in the workforce, then don't they still, as a group, spend most their time around people like themselves?

And even if you are at work with people of different cultures and ways of life, isn't it work, not socializing and learning about the world?

Being able to deal with being in the workforce with people who different doesn't mean you get to know anything about them or broaden your horizens.
