I also use the CBOE web site for info, etc.quote.cboe.com I also have e-signal... although the software is not as fast as I wished... many times Velocity (see below) is faster than e-Signal. Schwab has a software called Velocity and it gives me option chains. From there I select the ones I am interested and gives me real time quotes, plus the ability to get quotes at 4 different exchanges (Philadelphia, Chicago (CBOE), Pico (L.A.), and American exchanges). Some times the bids/ask vary substantially from exchange to exchange, plus you can also see which exchange has the greatest liquidity. Unfortunately, it does not allow you to "direct" your order to the best market. To do that you would have to call the broker and of course that increases the commission. Having said that, sometimes it is better to pay the higher commission when the market is a fast one and the price of the underlying is going through one of those "feeding frenzies". During October 19th., I remember being able to sell the Apr 125 SUNW @ 19...(SUXDE) (bought them back for 12.25 on the 25th.) hehehehe. I used the broker -g- The trade was a winner from day one as the "ask" never reached 19 again. I have asked Schwab when will the Option exchanges be "connected" to one another so one has the ability to trade from the "composite" quoted bid/ask. They say that it is up to the exchanges to set it up. I assume that the market makers have something to say about that... but I do believe that such "standarization" of the quoting system will be with us soon... ___________ Ah poor truck drivers... I shall distribute pictures of the Testa Rossa (the car, not the girl -g-) and let them admire it closer as we zoom by...
