Yes, Gregory. The calculated use of children in war is nothing new. And their deaths can be very useful as PR, as we are seeing. It is unfortunate for the peace process, too, that Arafat chose to release those convicted terrorist members of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad....

Maybe it is not exactly good compare, but try to think about it: There is a stock IVIL. Somewhere in April 1999, the price of stock was $100.00 + or - $10.00. Today it is $3.50 About the time it was $100.00 there were people shorting this stock and they would get very bad reaction from other fellow investors, claiming that shorters are like scavengers. But quite possible if more people would beleive in April 1999 that price of the stock is not fair, today there would be less people that has lost a looooooot of money in IVIL? Now there was a very strong propaganda starting from 1905-1917 promoting a revolution in Russia. Propaganda succeeded. Revolution came and won. As a result of revolution Russia went in the direction where it is now. 50-80 years behind other civilized countries. With 20 millions of its own people dead. Dead not from Worls War II, but from Russian labor camps. The propaganda at that time was just inside Russia from the liberal Rusian press. Almost no press outside of Russia. If any support it was the radical liberal press of Europe No radio, no television, almost no telephone. Today there is Radio, television, Internet, cellullar comunications, space flights, airplane connections between countries and other things that make an article published in the propaganda camp go all over the globe gaining extra details and flavors on the way in a matter of minutes. World War II --- it is another 20 million Russians dead. Altogether somewhere between 50-60 millions died in World War II. Hitler came to power by winning in the elections. He also was a master of propaganda. Propaganda is a powerfull machine. Soviet Union fell apart. One of the reasons is a powerfull "Voice of America" and "Free Europe" radio casts directed to the territories of Soviet Union. Again almost no blood spilled. Soviet Union just felt apart. Look around. You can count Communist countries with fingers on your left hand. Some of them by now are just virtually Communist. The only thing that is real is just talk from obviously marasmatic leaders. Think about the power of propaganda. What about tobaco industry propaganda. Can you see how powerfull it is? How long it takes to defeat them? Do you think the Middle East propagand coming from the militant religious leaders is less powerfull? Or do you think the lobby has less money to promote its cause?
