Were is the word on defoliants. Like I said, the new varieties drop their leaves earlier.

The herbicides, except for Roundup, never touch the plants. Roundup is sometimes used but just on young plants before the beans even start to form. It used to be the herbicides lasted into the next year and longer, and got into the water during spring runoff. Roundup is gone after 7 days. The others last only until the plants have canopied.
