Thanks for the compliment anyway..... : ) Trans World Airlines Shares Rise, Cisco Declines: After-Hours By William Selway New York, Nov. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Trans World Airlines Inc. shares gained in extended trading after Global Airlines Corp., a company with no operations led by a Los Angeles investor, offered to buy the eighth-largest carrier for $298 million. Shares of the St. Louis, Missouri-based airline rose 21 percent to $2 in trading after the 4 p.m. New York close of the stock exchanges. TWA shares fell 15 cents to $1.65 in regular trading. Global Airlines, which is led by Emil Bernard, said it is offering to buy TWA for $3.75 a share, more than twice the closing price of the shares today. Global in June offered to buy TWA for $5 a share in stock, debt and cash. TWA requested more information on that offer, Global said in July. TWA is willing to consider any legitimate offer for the company, said spokeswoman Chris Kelly. navigation.helper.realnames.com The other day I posted that I sold XRX and bought TWA. My mistake on XRX, as it was up a very nice amount the next day. Bought more TWA today when the price dropped like a rock...looks like a very large sell order did the job today. I should be able to turn this around for a quick gain. I would not trust anything coming from Globel, but it should at least move the stock UP a very nice amount. Don't know if this is a one, two or three day play........depends on how it is covered in the press. Sometimes it does pay to live just 5 miles from the world headquarters and talk to drunken TWA employees at near by watering holes. I just drink for the investments. : ))) I bought RDRT near the close Friday, and feeling pretty good now!! Glad I saw it on this thread. I will trade some shares, as best I can from work, and keep some shares for the longer term gain. ICN
