The rolling three-day survey of 592 likely voters indicated that the vice president’s lead had jumped to eight points, 50 percent to 42 percent, a 3-point leap in 24 hours (and a swing of 15 points in just nine days). Gore’s lead now pushes the edges of the sample’s 4-point margin of error With 23 electoral votes, Pennsylvania just trails Florida in importance.
