Did Bush screw up in the last day or 2 of the campaign? Big vote shift in major states according to Reuters/MSNBC/Zogby:

Monday’s Reuters/MSNBC state tracking poll in Pennsylvania
gave Gore a big boost. The rolling three-day survey of 592
likely voters indicated that the vice president’s lead had
jumped to eight points, 50 percent to 42 percent, a 3-point
leap in 24 hours (and a swing of 15 points in just nine
days). Gore’s lead now pushes the edges of the sample’s
4-point margin of error
With 23 electoral votes, Pennsylvania just trails
Florida in importance. The jump in Pennsylvania, combined
with Gore’s small lead in Florida and consistently larger
lead in Michigan, means the Democratic campaign is running
ahead of the Republicans in all three of the states it
considers most important and raises new questions about why Bush was avoiding Michigan and Pennsylvania in the final
days."
