Bush Social Security Plan not selling with young people The latest Reuters/MSNBC/Zogby daily tracking poll, released Monday evening, showed the vice president pulling ahead by 48 percent to 46 percent after having trailed Bush by similar margins for more than 10 days. While the difference remains within the poll’s 3-point margin of sampling error and is a statistical tie, the movement toward Gore mimics trends in most other tracking polls, nearly all of which indicate Bush’s lead dwindling to statistical insignificance only hours before the polls open. John Zogby, whose firm conducted the survey, said Monday that “Gore has pulled into an ever-so-slight lead ... by opening up a 2-to-1 lead among 18- to 29-year-olds,” who he said are shifting away from Green Party nominee Ralph Nader. “But this is not over,” Zogby stressed. msnbc.com
