Sure, slavery was wrong, but that has nothing to with Iraq (and little to do with the American Civil War). I'm just saying that the American Civil War was a war between two independent countries (CSA/USA), and yet it is generally considered to be a civil war. Kuwait is really a state of Iraq, but it was carved out by the British. That was a civil dispute all the way. Bush even acknowledged that until Thatcher suddenly changed his mind.
