If tech stocks don't turn up strongly this quarter, Intel may lose some leverage going into Q1'00 because they have to sell more securities to realize $730M worth of gains this quarter. That's why they haven't sold that many securities this quarter yet (except some LNUX shares), and there are only about 7 more weeks left in this quarter.
