I have traded in and out of VRTA quite a few times and overall I have made good profit on it than any others in my portfolio. Recently I took a minor hit on it (paper loss and I am now confident of it's recovery to its old highs)
If Bush/Cheney come in, I will be getting into oil/energy stocks/funds.
YTD, my portfolio turned green (recently) despite the ugly market conditions this year. Careful selection of new economy stocks is the recipe for higher returns. I have a couple of dogs that I need to get rid off. Since only 10% of my money is in stocks, I am not too concerned about stock market gyrations.
For me: Business is Business and Politix is Politix. The 2 intertwine only if I smell profits.
